If drivers only knew, while crawling through traffic, that on the Harley-Davidson® passing them could be Csaba Vastag. Of course, experts can pick the singer’s motorcycle out immediately, as it is custom built down to the last bolt. 

Do you prefer city rides or longer rides? 

Since it is very difficult to drive a car in Budapest due to the traffic jams, I use my motorcycle mainly for city riding. Anyway, for me it is ideal for riding a maximum of 150 km, because I do not like being along for a long period of time.

 Do you think drivers get annoyed, when you leave them standing? Do you have bad experiences? 

These motorcycles are not only spectacular, but very noisy too, so as I realised, they get respect on the roads. However, this must not be taken to mean that when drivers spot me in the rear-view mirror, they can’t help but scatter in front of me. I always make sure I follow the rules. 

Where did your enthusiasm for Harley-Davidson come from?

As a matter of fact, I really liked this iconic brand as a young guy, I just didn’t have the money. Now, I can afford it, but I am not satisfied with a basic model; I prefer to customise it to my own tastes with my friend, Csaba Sütő, who is the team leader of Gigamachine. We have worked together on two of my motorcycles so far and, if everything goes well, there will be a third one soon. 

Are these motorcycles unique in their technical solutions too, or just in their appearances? 

Both. I may say in all modesty, they are real feats of engineering. For me, building motorcycles is a real art, because a completely new, unique vehicle is born from the elements. 

Have you ever won any awards with them? 

Yes, but that is not my principal purpose. We do it for our own pleasure and we sometimes work on one for up to a year. 

Do any of your brothers share your passion? 

Tomi also rides, but not a Harley, so we tease each other constantly. Of course, it is obvious that my motorcycle is the better one…

Aren’t you planning to come up with a motorcycle song? 

My new song will come out soon, and although it is not about riding, it will evoke that feeling. 

Harley-Davidson is celebrating its 120th anniversary on 22-25 June in Budapest. Shall we meet in the Puskás Arena Park?

I would love to ride there on any of my motorcycles, I hope that nothing gets in the way.
